Common patient questions
Can I receive dentures on the day my teeth are removed?
Immediate dentures are prepared before extractions and placed the day the planned teeth are removed. Preparation visits are needed first; this is not a same-day walk-in process. An examination helps determine whether this approach fits your treatment needs and timeline.
What is the difference between a full and partial denture?
A full denture replaces all teeth in an upper or lower arch. A partial denture replaces some missing teeth when natural teeth remain. We discuss the options after evaluating your remaining teeth and oral health.
Will immediate dentures need adjustments?
Your gums and jaw change as they heal after extractions, so the fit can change. Follow-up adjustments, a reline, or a replacement denture may be needed. Ask about these stages and their costs when discussing your treatment plan.
What if my denture feels loose or causes soreness?
Contact the office for an evaluation. New dentures can take time to get used to, but ongoing soreness or a changing fit deserves attention. Avoid trying to reshape or repair the denture yourself.
